Join your friends in the HiCap community for an afternoon of board gaming, Sunday February 28 from 2:30-5:30 PM, at the Brightwater Center (22505 State Route 9 SE, Woodinville, WA 98072-6010).

  • All ages, family, and friends are welcome. But space is limited! Reserve your seat at Sign Up Genius.
  • If possible, please bring age appropriate games for your family or to share. A pool of board games will also be available.
  • This is not a drop off event–children need to be accompanied by an adult.
  • Donations of time (putting away tables & chairs at the end of the event) and/or money (towards hall rental costs) are appreciated.
  • Snacks will be available for purchase.
  • Feel free to come late or leave early. Some “between games” activities will also be available.
  • Directions to Brightwater are here. If you haven’t been there before, it is slightly north of Costco on Highway 9. The community center is at the very end of the driveway to the left. There is ample parking.

Thanks to the Northwest Gifted Child Association for co-hosting this event.

Save Our Challenge will be hosting a brainstorming session at 7pm on Tuesday February 9th at the Community Room at McMenimans in Bothell (18607 Bothell Way NE). We invite you and anyone interested in making our successful Challenge Program even better in our middle schools to attend this community input opportunity. At this meeting we will be brainstorming ideas about various program models that could be used when Northshore transitions from a Jr. High configuration to Middle school. We will collect all input and synthesize it into a proposal to be delivered to the school board as an addition or alternative to the recommendation soon to be proposed by the Middle School Grade Reconfiguration Task Force. We hope to solicit and then propose ideas that are in the best interests of ALL of the district’s children even if they haven’t been considered yet by the District. Please join us on Tuesday to be a part of the solution!
